Alright so I'm starting this blog, how do I start? Maybe a little info about me and why I decided to do this?
Quick version is...my name is Mike Stallings I grew up in Kansas City. I spent the first 30 years of my life (I'm only 31 now) trying to figure out what I wanted to do in life. I think I figured it out. I am a Chef/Musician/Lover of experience, family, friends and life in general. I've been in bands, cooked in a lot of restaurants and have done my best to live each day as if it were my last. I currently reside in Southwest Florida and am on the brink of realization.....at all times. haha
The point of doing this blog, I guess, is to allow myself to put some thoughts down in writing and to share my thoughts and experiences with friends, family and whoever else that is bored enough to read my rantings. I don't plan on going on any African jungle safaris or going to war or anything. Just a regular guy trying to figure shit out about myself and life in general.
Just plan on hearing a lot of my thoughts, rants, writings, watch random music videos and anything else I decide to throw up here and share with the public.
Alright, that's about all I have for my first blog. haha Wish it could have been a little more insightful but give me time as I ease into this new "blogger" world.
Yeah! I'm thrilled that I get to be your first follower. You know, since you were my first follower when we were little. Love you and cannot wait to read more. Keep it up, the more you do it the easier it gets.
ReplyDeleteWaht's up, Mike?
ReplyDeleteI thought I'd go ahead and sign up because I'm all about the internet, it's possibilities, having a cyber-presence, self-exploration and writing, among other things.
Kudos, Big Mike, as I did not catch a single grammatical error upon a quick read of your first blog. The only thing I would change is to make "Ha ha." a complete sentence. (I teach English and specifically writing, by God.)
Looks to me that you are a natural writer. Whatever you did to produce this first entry, keep doing it. It's working.
Soon you will add to your repertiore "writer."
Keeo in touch.
Kirk
It's funny now that I'm out in FL too I've been wondering a lot about how you are. And now I can read about it. Thanks for sharing your journey - your comment about the safari made me smile. :)
